We had the special opportunity to go to the Draper Temple Openhouse on Saturday.
It was so neat. My parents and my sister-in-law and her kids (we missed you, Rob.
Sorry you had to work.) went with us.
It was such a neat experience to take the kids inside of a temple. They loved
it. It was especially fun to explain thing to McKenzee. She is getting old enough
that I need to start thinking about preparing her for her own trip to the temple.
The three little ones loved the Baptistry because they knew that was the only
place McKenzee could go and it was only a few short years until it was their turn.
My favorite part was being in the sealing room with my family, looking into the mirror and
reminding them that the mirrors represented our forever family. It was very touching!
After the temple we went to the church next door for refreshments. The church really knows
how to do things with flare. They had amazing pictures hanging in the cultural hall. It was raining cats and dogs so we couldn't get a picture outside the temple. We found this spot in front
of Christ to have our family picture. It was a great day!
come and take us back to our van. It was neat for the girls
to share this experience with their cousins and grandparents!
I am thankful we have the same goals and standards!

I love that family picture with Christ in the background. I'm excited to go see the Temple this Wednesday.
Can you believe you have a daughter that is nearly 12! Time flies huh?
I love the picture of your family together--that one brought tears to my eyes. What a neat experience for you guys! I'm SO looking forward to taking my family. Thanks so much for sharing that! :) I love temples.
You are such a great family. I can't wait to take my kids. The temple looked absolutely amazing the other night. We could see it from the freeway and it looked like a beam of light from Heaven was spotlighting it. You really couldn't see anything but the temple. It was really cool. Glad you had such a great experience. Melissa
I loved going too. It is such an awesome thing to do together as a family. BTW, Rickee looks tons like her little cousin!
That is a great picture of your family. Of course when we went, I forgot to bring my camera. And after we were already on the bus headed back did I think "oh. I should have used my phone to take pictures." Duh.
It's so neat to be surrounded by Temples. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Your family is beautiful!
