Happy 6th Birthday Rickee!

Rickee turned 6 last Friday the 14th. She had a great birthday. My parents were out of town so they took her to get her present a couple of days early: a new bike! She wanted a bike with "a stand" (kickstand). Her small bike didn't have one and that was the only criteria for her new bike. She loves it!!! She rides it all the time! Thanks grandma and grandpa Bird!It was her year to have a "Friend Party" so we spent the entire day getting ready for her Pajama Party. We didn't even have time to open presents from the family until after her party (at 9:30 at night) Sorry babe! She was so tired I don't think she even cared what Bryan and I gave her.
Then on Sunday we had the Burton family over to celebrate birthday's. It was Jacob's 12th birthday on May 12th, mine and Rickee's birthday on the 14th and Grandpa's birthday on the 19th. Wow. What a busy week for birthdays.
It was fun having them over to celebrate! (We missed you Hendricksons!)
Unfortunately, because of the craziness of the birthday party this was the only picture we got of Rickee blowing out candles.

Now for the fun part: Rickee's Birthday Bash!
It was a pajama party so all the girls came in jamies with their pillow and favorite stuffed animal. They all looked so cute!
As the girls were coming we played a game like "Hot potato". We passed around a bottle of fingernail polish, when the music stopped the girls with the polish was "it". Instead of being "out" she got her nails painted. Kenzee would paint all the toes on one foot each time they were it. We played until all the girls had their toes painted. Then we ate dinner: pizza, strawberries, and carrot sticks.

Once dinner was cleaned up we decorated pillow slips. Before hand I personalized a pillow slip for each girl with their name. Then they decorated them with stamps and fabric markers. They all turned out so cute!
The next game we played was Princess and the Pea. I told the girls the story of the Princess and the Pea and then told them we needed to find out if any of them were "Real Princesses". Kenzee would hid a pea (a small ball) under one of the pillows and then the girls (one at a time) would sit on the pillows and see if they could find the pea. Come to find out, every girl at the party was a princess. They each could feel the pea.
Then we blindfolded the girls and they played "Put Teddy to Bed" by trying to pin the teddy bear to the bed. Kenzee went all out and made a cute bed from my Cricut and a Teddy bear with each girls name on it.

The next game was "Bed Bug Toss". We took all the girls stuffed animals and they tried to toss them into a playpen. It was harder for them than it sounds.

Finally, it was time to open presents and have cake and ice cream. Rickee's favorite part! We made rainbow cupcakes. The girls squealed with delight as they bit into their cupcake to see what color they got.

After cake and ice cream we played birthday bingo. As each girl got Bingo they got a new pair of princess socks (thanks to Targets dollar section) They all couldn't wait to put on their new socks. The girls were all sooooo adorable!
Finally the time I waited for: Settling down to watch a movie. Rickee chose Princess and the Frog. We planned to watch most of the movie but everything took longer than I planned and we only had about 15 minutes to watch before parents started coming to pick up the girls. It was such a fun party. I hope Rickee and all the girls had as much fun as I did!
Happy Birthday Sweetheart!!!
