Late last fall, Bryan bought a boat. It is not a pretty boat. It is not a big boat. It is not a fancy boat. But it is a boat and he loves it. I had nothing to do with it. I do not want to have anything to do with it. I am not a boater nor do I want to be! However, Bryan and the girls want do.The thought of only water under me with no sight of the bottom scares me to death! I am not a water lover! They have been going crazy waiting to get it in the water to see if it actually floats. Finally, Thursday afternoon, Bryan got off work a little early and despite the wind we ventured out to Utah Lake to see if it was a floater!

We went to the American Fork Marina and launched the boat. The water was quite rough but Bryan and the girls could not be stopped. Bryan took the boat out himself (in case it didn't float), through the marina and out into the lake.

After a few minutes in the wild waters he came back for the rest of us. The girls loved cruising around the marina (at a slow "
wakeless" speed) but wanted more. Bryan took the boat out into the lake twice but it was just to rough. I reminded him of the movie "The Perfect Storm" so he reluctantly with whines from the girls brought the boat back to the safe and calm harbor.

The silly girls, in what seemed like 50 degree weather, played on the boat ramp and in the water while Bryan and
Kenzee put the boat back on the trailer.

I guess we will have to try again another day if it ever warms up here in Utah!

How fun!! I LOVE going out in the boat, but I always did it growing up. Those are some of my most favorite memories as a little kid. I am sure your girls will love it - even if you don't. ;)
Awesome! We had a boat growing up, and it was really fun. I have the best memories as a child out on the lake. My Mom didn't like the lake either, so it was a Dad + kids thing.
how fun
So I'm impressed you got out on the lake! And I'm also impressed it floated ;o)
I bet you would like a really big boat that have beds, room service, pools, spas, and shops. Try one of those boats...
