The Newest NJHS Member

McKenzee was inducted into the National Junior Honors Society last night. She is one of 36 students in her school. She had to apply by writing an essay, get teachers signatures, have two references from people who were not family, and interview with the NJHS advisors. And she made it!!! It was such on honor to go to the ceremony last night!
This is Kenzee receiving her certificate from Ms. Rushton, the head advisor of NJHS.
Kenzee with her certificate and flowers. I thought I would be a great mom and give her flowers to show her how proud we our of her. I thought she would love them but it only embarrassed her even more. I can't win.
This is Kenzee and Carley Woods. Congrats girls!! The candles represent the six attributes of a NJHS member. They are knowledge, scholarship, citizenship, service, leadership and character. Kenzee definitely has all of the great attributes!
Kenzee is taking the NJHS oath, promising to continue to keep up her grades, do service, be a leader in the school, continue to be committed to learning and setting an example to the other students at South Hills Middle School.
Kenzee, I am so proud of you! You are an amazing girl, a great student, an excellent example to your peers and family and a good friend. I am constantly amazed that you are my daughter! You are a very special child of God and I am so very glad you are in my family! I love you!!! CONGRATULATIONS AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
