I'm Proud to be an American!

On July 4th we had a great day. We were able to go to a neighborhood breakfast and parade (another post). Then we had a BBQ party with friends. The kids of course swam in our new pool most of the day! They loved having friends over to swim with them.
We have kept Rickee's little pool up so she has something she can swim in when she doesn't want to wear her life jacket. It was much warmer than the big pool so the kid's were calling it the "hot tub".
We had dinner and then made s'mores. The kids loved roasting their "peeps". They make the best s'mores!

When we ran out of peeps (they seemed to go fast) we roasted regular marshmellows. Everyone had more than we should have!

More swimming!

And dinner tasted great. We even watched Devon and Caden put on a great firework show (with on injury). They did a great job!! It was a very fun day! We love celebrating with friends!

I love the 4th of July!!! I have a lot of military blood in my family. Both of my grandpas, one grandma and my dad all served in the military. They are all very patriotic and proud of our country! Luckily, they have passed that love on to me. I am so very grateful to live where we are free. I am so very grateful that I can choose to be who ever I want to be. I am so very grateful to be able to choose which God to serve and love. I am so very grateful to have the friends I want. I am so very grateful to be an American. I love this country and what it stands for!!
