July 4th our great neighborhood had their "Annual Breakfast and Parade". We had a great time. Kenzee and Becca stayed up WAY to late the night before and this is their idea of a great time!

The kids decorated their bikes and rode in a parade behind a Riverton City Firetruck. An ambulance brought up the rear of the parade. It was so fun to see kids of all ages riding bikes, scooters or walking along the parade route while the firetruck's siren blasted the whole time!

There is Kam and Rick in their flag shirts and decorated bikes. They were very excited. Rickee was a bit concerned about the "loud" firetruck, but once they got going she was fine. Kaylee brought up the rear with her friends.

After the parade the firemen hooked up their water hose and started spraying the kids. McKaylee stayed as far away as she could. She found a safe haven by the garbage can.

It took some coaxing but finally Rickee ran in to get wet. After a few minutes I couldn't get her away from the water.

Kamree, of course, was one of the first ones kids out to get wet. By the time they were done, she and Rickee were dripping wet! They had a great time! We live in an awesome neighborhood and I am glad we have activities like this to play together!
This is only a minute of the firemen vs. kid water fight. It seemed to go on for 10 minutes. After that the girls got really cold and we went home. I don't know how long it lasted after we left. The firemen were great! They ate breakfast with us, were the Guests of Honor at the parade and then provided the water fight. It was very thoughtful of them to spend the holiday with us! What a great activity.

I love the picture of Becca and Kenzee. I was tired too. I should have joined them. :) I need to e-mail you the picture of Bryan. It certainly deserves a place on your blog! lol
Looks like a lot of fun! The firemen never got out their hoses for our neighborhood parade. I guess they like you better! ;)
Did you find your camera? I would love that pic although Bryan would kill me!
