A new "Do"

I took McKaylee, Kamree and Rickee to Cookie Cutters the other day to get haircuts to start school with. Rickee and Kamree have been wanting their hair short for a while and I keep putting it off. Finally I agreed that it would be good to start the new school year off with new hair dos. McKaylee is trying to grow hers out sho she only had a trim. I am going to take her back in a few days to have side bands cut in. We have to "train" her hair first. I will post pictures of her when we go back. Rickee was first. She told the hairstylist that she wanted her hair cut to her ear. I convinced her to have it cut to her shoulders.
The lady put it in a ponytail, braided it and then cut it off!
I couldn't believe how much hair she cut off. It was very emotional for me. I thought I would be jumping for joy to see all that hair go but it actually brought tears to my eyes. All that baby hair gone! When all was cut and styled, it was shorter than I expected, but it is very cute.
McKamree got quite a bit cut off, too. It makes her hair even more curly. She looks very cute! I think we will keep it short for a while!
When we got home Rickee wasn't quite sure she liked it, she cried and cried. She had so much cut off that she was able to donate it to Locks of Love. We are very proud of her for doing that, although it kind of freaked her out that someone else would "look like her". After we explained that no one would look like her she was happy to help another child who didn't have hair.
After she got use to the feel of not having all that hair, she decided she loves her hair. She is now ready to start kindergarten!!
Isn't she a doll????

I LOVE Rickee's hair it is so cute, I also think it's sweet that it was hard for you to see it go. Your baby is growing up, kindergarten!

Wow, she is so grown up now! Rickee's hair is DARLING!! (I know how you feel about losing the baby hair. I almost cried when Sam's several inches got cut off too.) Darn that they have to grow up!
