Oakcrest Girls Camp

McKenzee was lucky enough to get to attend Oakcrest Girls Camp again this year! She was so excited to go. She had such a great experience last year and she knew this year would be even better!
There were some many different activities they got to try. Here is Becca trying her hand at archery. It rained and rained and rained while they were there, but they were troopers and did everything anyway. By the time they got home they were cold, wet, dirty and tired!
Kenzee, Becca and Harley were able to room together. (I feel bad for their counselor. These girls get a bit silly when they are together!)
Here is their group of girls. Kenzee made some fun new friends! They were from West Jordan and South Jordan. They all had a great time together.
Kenzee absolutely LOVED her counselor. Her camp name is "Warrior". She choose the name Warrior because she knew that this life would be full of battles between good and evil and to prevail she and all the girls would need to be warriors! She wrote each girl a letter and bore her testimony to them. She is a very strong girl and I hope Kenzee learned a lot from her and will always remember the things Warrior taught her!
Here are the girls ready to battle the evil forces! I am so glad that Kenzee had the opportunity to attend Oakcrest for two years! I went to Oakcrest when I was young and I still have very fond memories of that place. It is where my testimony really started. I love that Kenzee got to go there too and learn the same things I did. Kenzee has a testimony of the church and I know much of what knows is from the things she learned at Oakcrest and the feelings of the Spirit she felt there!

We didn't have anything like Oakcrest where I grew up, but it looks like it a great place to have fun experiences! You are lucky Kenzee has so many good friends to surround her. That is so important.

I still remember my Oakcrest counselor "Smiles." I definitely think it will be a week to remember. I'm glad she had so much fun.
